2020 WY Senior Games

Welcome!

The Cheyenne community is proud to be the home of the 2020 Wyoming Senior Olympics. Welcome athletes!

To avoid injury, athletes should have trained to compete prior to the Olympics. 

The Wyoming Senior Olympics are considered "open," therefore any resident of the United States and Canada age 50 and older is eligible to participate. Photo ID with age will be required at check-in.

Age for Competing

Individuals age 50 or older as of December 31 the year of the Olympics may participate in events that they are physically capable of performing. For 2020--50 or older as of December 31, 2020. 

Age divisions for alle vents for men and women are as follows:

  • 50-54
  • 55-59
  • 60-64
  • 65-69
  • 70-74
  • 75-79
  • 80-84
  • 85-89
  • 90-94
  • 95+

Age for competition is determined by the athlete's age as of December 31 of current participating year. Age for doubles and team competition is determined by the age of the younger partner or teammember as of December 31 of the current year.

Medal Policy

Golf, Silver, and Bronze medals will be awarded to the top three placing participants at the end of each event. During National Senior Games qualifying years, the top three Wyoming residents will also be eligible for National Senior Games competition, regardless of whether he/she medaled in the event.

Refund Policy

Request for refunds must be made in writing to the Wyoming Senior Olympics Board of Directors, 1317 Parsley Boulevard, Cheyenne, WY 82007. Approved refunds will be assessed a $10 processing fee. 

Refunds will be issued for the following reasons:

  1. An Event is cancelled by the Wyoming Senior Olympics Officials (no processing fee assessed);
  2. Medical reason, validated from a physician in writing, provided prior to the start of the Wyoming Senior Olympics.

No refunds will be issued after the completion of the Olympics. 

Check-In & Information Center

All participants must be checked in at the Cheyenne Ice & Events Center, 1530 West Lincolnway, prior to participation. The Olympics Program with event locations, your t-shirt, sports bag, and additional informationa bout special activities will be provided. The Center will be staffed on:

  • Wednesday, August 5: 12:00 - 5 p.m.
  • Thursday, August 6: 6 a.m. - 5 p.m.
  • Friday, August 7: 6 a.m. - 5 p.m.
  • Saturday, August 8: 6 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Additional Fees

Additional fees are charged for bowling, golf, trap & skeet. These fees are required to be paid at each event location. 

The estimated fees are: 

  • Bowling: $6.75/bowler (3-game set with free shoe rental)
  • Golf: $16/cart (optional)
  • Trap & Skeet: $6/round, $12/event
